Winter Wings 2009

Eagle

Winter Wings was colder the last year.  The weather was constantly changing for heavy snow to clearing so planning a shoot was not always easy.  However, I did manage to get a few good shots in.  On Friday three Canon Sales reps and myself went out with the Explorer of Light Adam Jones and some guides to get some shots prior to the event.

Saturday morning I did a morning training.  That evening Adam Jones gave his presentation.  Between the two events the participants went out into the field to do some shooting and we printed some of there photos.

Canon provided 50 camera bodies as will as a good selections of lenses.  We had an opportunity to shoot with the new EF 800mm lens as well.

Because of the cold many of the birds had headed south.  The Eagle and swan population were way down compared to last year.  However, we did manage to get a few excellent shots.

I’ve added four shots in my Nature Gallery and uploaded a few more to my Flickr account.
