Test driving the T1i
|
So I’ve had the T1i for a few weeks now and I’m pretty impressed. The ease of use makes it a delight. The 920,000 pixel screen is easy to see. In the photos below I have some butterflies taken at ISO 3200 and found the high ISO does an excellent job. Of course I shoot in RAW and use the Canon Digital Photo Professional for RAW conversion so I have complete control over the noise.

Live view and the movie mode are very simple to operate compared to the previous models. Being that I’m a still photographer I’m not yet adjusted to the video paradigm. Video people think very differently then still photographers so most of my movies still have that amateur look to them. However, the quality is still excellent. I’m still trying to get up to speed on the video software as well. It’s nice that Canon provided some video editing software with the software bundle.
The following pictures can also be found on my flickr page. Larger sizes area available there.
