When working with the Canon flash system, either the pop up or the External flash, you have two options or metering: Evaluative and Average.
Most people never figure out how the two differ, for in fact the look the same in many situations. Here I show where the differences would most likely be noticed.

Dance-0117 Orton Originally uploaded by occecidI further enhanced the dreamy effect through a technique known as Orton photography. Two of the same photo that are over exposed one full stopped are combined. One is sharp while the other is out of focus. The effect is a soft photo with a sharp core.
